PTFI OHS Program Receives National Recognition

Although the sun has just disappeared and the sky went dark, the liveliness atmosphere at Birawa Ballroom Bidakara Hotel Jakarta arise and invitees began to flock the venue. Tonight is the awarding night of "The awarding of the Occupational Health and Safety 2016" given by Minister of Manpower Affairs Republic of Indonesia.

As one of the companies taking part in the P2-HIV and AIDS in the workplace program, PTFI received the award given by Minister of Manpower Affairs Republic of Indonesia on "The awarding of the Occupational Health and Safety 2016" last month.

Manpower Minister, Hanif Dhakiri himself handed over the award to the SMK3 award recipient company, zero accident award recipient company, as well as HIV/AIDS prevention and control program award recipient company.

PT Freeport Indonesia received a Platinum Award in the P2 HIV & AIDS in the Workplace Program category. The platinum award was also given to 23 other companies. There were approximately 100 companies who receive the award in three categories: Platinum, Gold, and Silver.

We have already started programs to combat HIV / AIDS in Mimika since 1996. PTFI realized that the availability and health care quality improvement for the surroundings of the operation area as well as in the workplace are part of our future development. Congratulation to the PTFI big family on the achievement! (Spencer Paoh)
