PT Freeport Indonesia Sent Humanitarian Aid to Asmat

TIMIKA – On Wednesday, 17 January, 2018, PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) flew half ton of humanitarian aid to Agats, Asmat regency, Papua. The humanitarian aid consists of hundreds packages of food and drink, to be distributed for the local community in Asmat regency.

The team from PTFI carried the aid with the supports of 1 unit of helicopter and 1 unit of twin-otter airplane belong to Airfast, from Mozes Kilangin Airport, Timika, Mimika regency. In Agats, the aid was handed by a representative of PTFI management Sonny Prasetyo (Director & EVP of Sustainable Development) to the representative of Asmat regency government.

Hopefully, the distribution of this humanitarian aid could help the community in Asmat regency, who are currently facing malnutrition and measles outbreak. This aid is a part of PTFI’s attention to the community, particularly in Papua.
