Infrastructure Development Program

Towards increasing PTFI production to 300,000 tons of ore per day (300K), land is needed for development of new supporting facilities and expansion of existing supporting facilities including the Ajkwa Deposition Area/ADA), Amamapare Cargo Dock, Pad XI, and the electricity transmission grid. Approximately 30,860 hectares of this total area is traditional land over which rights are held by the Nawaripi/Koperapoka and Tipuka sub-tribes of the Kamoro tribe, which needs to undergo a relinquishment process under Agrarian Law number 5 of 1960.
