01 September 2023

PT Freeport Indonesia has received the Business Entity Award from BPJS Kesehatan (the Health Social Security Administration) in the XII Papua Region. Awards were also given to three other business entities in five categories: Compliant Paying Business Entity, Business Entity with the Best E-Dabu Utilization, Best Business Entity's PIC (Person in Charge), Business Entity with the Highest Mobile JKN Application Downloads by Employees, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Business Entity.

The Business Entity Award is an event to appreciate businesses that cooperatively register all their employees and their families, pay contributions on time, have the highest percentage of employees using the Mobile JKN Application, demonstrate the best utilization of E-Dabu, and are strongly dedicated to raising awareness about the National Health Insurance Program (JKN) among the local community.

In his remarks, Mangisi Raja Simarmata, Deputy Director of Region XII at BPJS Kesehatan, emphasized that the Business Entity Award is a strategic effort to enhance engagement with businesses, maintaining a strong partnership to support the National Health Insurance Program (JKN), especially in the Papua region.

As of August 25, 2023, there were 5,521 businesses in the Papua region participating in JKN, with a total of 110,273 employees and 133,359 family members becoming BPJS Kesehatan members. This brings the total number of members from business entities to 243,632 individuals, with a 4.8% contribution from the Wage-Recipient Business Entity segment. BPJS Kesehatan has also collaborated with 780 Primary Health Care Facilities (FKTP), 52 Specialist Health Care Facilities (FKRTL), and 21 Optical Facilities.

Mangisi added that BPJS Kesehatan continues to innovate to improve the quality of its services, including providing convenience to JKN participants through the Mobile JKN Application. This app allows participants to update their data, select healthcare facilities, lodge complaints, chat with doctors, and even get online queue numbers, all in one application.

Furthermore, BPJS Kesehatan does not impose limitations on the number of inpatient days for patients, adhering to medical indications. Mangisi encouraged businesses to maintain compliance with participant registration, contribution payments, obligations related to downloading the Mobile JKN Application, and paying contributions for employees with arrears through the REHAB (Rehabilitation) and Health History Screening programs.

Meanwhile, PT Freeport Indonesia, represented by Superinted Human Resources Information System, Heru Kartoso, expressed gratitude for the award. Heru emphasized the value of the recognition and the support and innovation provided by BPJS Kesehatan, particularly the E-Dabu Application, which has streamlined the registration and deactivation processes for their employees. Additionally, he praised the Mobile JKN Application, which is accessible and beneficial for all JKN participants. PT Freeport Indonesia remains committed to supporting the JKN Program, especially in providing healthcare services to all employees and their family members.
