Freeport Officially Secures Concentrate Export Permit

The government is officially allowing PT Freeport Indonesia to export copper concentrate. The Trade Ministry has ascertained Trade Minister Zulkifli Hasan signed a Regulation of the Minister of Trade (Permendag) on concentrate export permit. Trade Ministry Director General of Foreign Trade, Budi Santoso says the permendag that has undergone revision becomes effective a week after signing. “It was signed on Saturday [8/7/2023. With workdays counted, this means today, Monday,” Budi said to Bisnis.com, on Tuesday (/11/7/2023).
