Freeport Indonesia and Freeport Indonesia Labor Union Sign the Collective Labor Agreement XIX 2015-2017

PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) and the PTFI Working Unit Organizer – Chemical, Energy, and Mining Labor Union, Indonesian Labor Union officially singed the 19th Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) period 2015-2017.

PTFI President Director Maroef Sjamsoeddin and Chairman of PTFI Labor Union, Sudiro officially signed the CLA on Tuesday (12/8) in Jakarta.

Both parties agreed on all substantial aspects ruled in the CLA document, including employees basic salary raise. Other aspects ruled in the CLA are working provision and Industrial Relations Guidelines.

“PTFI and PTFI Labor Union agreed to sustainably proceed the communication openly and seek for best solution therefore a harmonious and conducive working environment will be established for all employees for the sake of achieving a better prosperity life either for employees, Company, the people of Papua, and the nation of Indonesia,” said Maroef Sjamsoeddin.
