The State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Holding Mining Industry MIND ID, or Mining Industry Indonesia, whose members include PT Aneka Tambang Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Inalum (Persero), and PT Timah Tbk, deploys an emergency response team and distributes humanitarian aid to the community that affected by the natural disaster of Mount Semeru's hot cloud avalanche.

The social action was carried out with BUMN Care and Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Disaster Preparedness on Monday, 6th December 2021. The aid was symbolically handed over to the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Lumajang Regency, East Java.

Director of Institutional Relations at MIND ID, Dany Amrul Ichdan said that the emergency response team and the distribution of humanitarian aid is a quick response from the MIND ID Group as a form of concern for disaster management in Indonesia. This is in line with MIND ID's noble purpose, which is We Explore - Natural resources for Civilization, Prosperity and a bright future. The company hopes that this assistance can accelerate the handling and reduce the burden on the community affected by the disaster.

The Lumajang Regency BPBD and the joint team are still continuing the search and evacuation process for residents who have been affected or are thought to be missing. PT ANTAM Tbk, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Inalum (Persero) and PT TIMAH Tbk deployed 56 personnel consisting of the Emergency Response Group (ERG) team, doctors, paramedics, equipment operators and other supporters to join the ESDM team Disaster Preparedness and assist the joint team.

MIND ID Group always collaborates with all stakeholders in disaster management. The MIND ID Group ERG team has experience in assisting disaster management in Indonesia. The company will distribute more than 1,000 packages of basic foodstuffs, 500 packages of toddler food and 1000 packages of hygiene kits.
