PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) recently introduced a core value SINCERE as the company's guideline for contributing more amid the pandemic. What does it mean? According to President Director of PT Freeport Indonesia, Tony Wenas, SINCERE is a guideline for the company's spirit to be implemented by all human resources involved in the company's business and integrated at all levels of business units.
"SINCERE stands for five values, namely Safety, Integrity, Commitment, Respect, and Excellence," he told detikcom. This, according Tony, is in accordance with PTFI's vision to become a world-class mining company that creates superior values and becomes pride for the Indonesian nation.
"So, we see that safety must be supported by other values so that the goals or objectives of the company can be quickly achieved," he said.
The meaning of SINCERE is as follows.
1. Safety is the daily attitude of every employee in prioritizing safety for themselves, colleagues and the community
2. Integrity is honest, open and responsible.
3. Commitment is contributing to the sustainability of the environment and the communities that we work in the long term
4. Respect is treating each other and interested parties respectfully, and
5. Excellence is the pursuit of excellence in work.
These values guide the behavior of all PTFI employees, who also always prioritize business ethics in every interaction. This is the basis of corporate governance. Tony said that the company's performance achievements could not be separated from the implementation of the five values of the company.
