Freeport: Export Duty Provisions Regulated in the IUPK

PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) explained that the prevailing export duty tariff provisions have been stipulated in the Special Mining Business License (IUPK). VP Corporate Communications of PT Freeport Indonesia, Katri Krisnati, revealed that at the end of 2018, the Indonesian government and Freeport-McMoRan Inc. reached a mutual agreement which was documented in the Special Mining Business License (IUPK). This IUPK also contains several provisions, including the applicable export duty tariff for PTFI. “One of the provisions stipulated in the IUPK is regarding the export duty tariff that applies to PTFI during the duration of the IUPK,” Katri explained to Kontan on Tuesday, August 8th.
