Freeport Disburses IDR 5 Billion Social Service for PPAD in Central Papua

PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) disbursed IDR 5 billion in funds to support the Social Service (Baksos) Association of Retired Indonesian Armed Forces (PPAD) in Central Papua, in particular the Mimika and Nabire Regencies. The social service with the theme ‘Kitorang Melihat Terang' focuses on cataract and cleft lip surgery services, general health services, teeth checkups, and the distribution of vitamins and essential food items. A team of doctors from Perdami performed cataract surgery on 78 patients, 105 eyeballs. While cleft lip surgery was conducted by a team of doctors at the Central Army Hospital (RSPAD) with 11 patients. The Social Service was reviewed directly by Indonesian Vice President Ma'ruf Amin at the Mimika Hospital on Wednesday, 12 July 2023.

PT Freeport Projects to Contribute IDR 1,200 Trillion to the State Until 2041
