The Business Administration Diploma 3 program of Nemangkawi Mining Institute (NMI) in cooperation with State Polytechnic in Semarang graduate its 19 students this year. The program which first initiated in 2006 is objected to provide professional and skill development in administration field with a valid certification from the Government of Indonesia.

The graduation ceremony was held at the Multipurpose Building in Kuala Kencana. Dressed immaculately in their graduation gown, 19 graduates were excitedly welcomed their big day. That day they were ready to receive confirmation from the Student Senate and receive their graduation certificate.

In the ceremony that was led by Director of the Semarang State Polytechnic, Ir. Supriyadi M. T., the senate assembly announced the 2016 graduation result. The graduates received a title of Asistan Ahli Madya (A. Md).

According to the Diploma 3 Program Judicial Assembly, align with the Semarang State Polytechnic Director decision letter number 0072/PL4.6.1/SK/2016 dated 3 March 2016, the outstanding graduate is Stevani Karma with highest GPA 3.86. Stevani took field of study of System of Development and Competency Assessment Staff in the division of Training and Development at PT Freeport Indonesia. Charlie Depthios Mofu with 3.83 GPA is in the second place.

Charlie took the field of study The Analysis of Customer Satisfaction of Learning and Development in Training and Development Division PT Freeport Indonesia. The third place is Ai Ludiana Mansnandifu with 3.71 GPA with field of study Implementation of Occupational Safety and Working Health Program at The Central Fabrication Division Shop PT Freeport Indonesia. The cummlaude was achieved by Charlie Depthios Mofu and Yohana Wandadaya. The criteria for cummlaude student are (1) GPA is above 3.50; (2) there are no Cs in each subjects taken; (3) 100% of attendance.

Suzan Kambuaya, Supt. NMI Traineeship & Support explained that this program is the fourth class. All students are succeed to attend the program and all of them are Papuan students. Currently the graduates are undergoing internship program in various department in PTFI both Highland and Lowland.

Charlie Depthios Mofu, one of the best graduate from the program mentioned, “This achievement is truly out of my expectation. Now I believe that hard work and perseverance will result a proud and satisfying outcome. I am glad to present a good achievement, both to myself and to my beloved family.” “To be honest,” Charlie adds, “working at Freeport was my childhood dream. I will maximize the chance given to me to develop my potential, to proof that I am ready to be a part of PTFI,” said Charlie who is now an intern at Manpower Services Department – Formalities in Tembagapura.

Johannes Indarto, VP Training & Development, as representative of PTFI Management express his proud and gratitude to all students who have complete their Diploma 3 study. Indarto expects that this achievement will be followed with other achievements in the future, so they can continue to develop their potentials and career in their future endeavor. (Hendrikus)
