The Beautiful Color and Sound of Kamoro

Few weeks ago, seven Kamoro artists were performing the indigenous Mimika coastal tribe to the art communities in Gianyar, Bali.

For four days, Balinese communities enjoyed various art activities from traditional dances, carving, Kamoro traditional story telling and movie screening. The photo session with the photography enthusiasts was the most attracting activity among all.

The Kamoro exhibition in Bali was the starting event from the series of fund raising event for the establishment of Kamoro Museum in Timika. Along with Bali Purnati Foundation, Kamoro culture will be presented to the international art communities, one of the event will be held in Asian Civilisation Museum in Singapore, that will exhibit Kamoro masterpieces.
