With the theme of economic transformation through downstream with local wisdom, the scientific oration held by the collaboration between PT Freeport Indonesia and the Ministry of Investment and the Investment Coordinating Board, continued to the University of Indonesia and the Bandung Institute of Technology. Not only giving scientific speeches, but PT Freeport Indonesia also provides scholarships to students.
After success at the Sepuluh November Institute of Technology (ITS) and Gajah Mada University (UGM), scientific orations entitled economic transformation through downstream with local wisdom were again conducted at the Bandung Institute of Technology and the University of Indonesia. Modern technology in mining using remote facilities with robotic features is one of the things presented in this scientific oration.
Attended by thousands of students from various majors, the atmosphere of the scientific oration was warmly welcomed by the students and the entire academic community.
On this occasion, the Chairman of the Board and CEO of Freeport-McMoRan delivered his speech about the technological advancements used by PT Freeport Indonesia. In the scientific oration closing, PT Freeport Indonesia provided scholarships to students as a form of PT Freeport
